Painting

Painting is one of the world’s oldest art forms. In this class we will explore the art of painting as a mode of expression. Through both practical exercises and discussions, we will peel back the layers of commentary expressed through painting: Feelings, thoughts, questions and answers. In short; the artistic language that embraces life and existence in all its complexity.

In class we will explore the works of influential artists to gain an understanding of art history and we will work analytically and theoretically as well as with practical exercises in content, technique, form, composition, colour, rhythm, medium and materials.

You will gain insights into life as a visual artist and get tips on how to get started, how to present your art to the world – and how to know when you are ready for your first exhibition.

This subject is taught in Danish but translation will be provided for you by your teacher and classmates.
