Religion and culture

Religion is the most impactful cultural phenomenon ever. Where there are human beings there are religions and where there are religions it affects peoples and places.

Together we will dive into the power of religion and examine the many theories of religions to find out what it is they do: structurally, anthropologically, sociologically and psychologically. We will critically examine religions – from the inside and outside.

 In this subject you will be introduced to a number of thinkers within the philosophy of religion as well as critical thinkers of religion, and in our discussions we will get to know more about the nature of religion, the language we can use to describe them, and not least, how to know more about them.
