Game studies, ludology’ or gaming theory is a subject that deals with the critical study of games. More specifically, it focuses on game design, players, and their role in society and culture.
Game studies is an inter-disciplinary field which touches on computer science, psychology, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, arts and literature, media studies, communication.
All types of games will be dissected from three perspectives: Industry and engineering, Social sciences and Humanities. What meanings are made through games? What do games do to people? How can we create better games?
This subject is taught in English.
