The pristine, magnificent landscape of Norway’s mountains and wilderness is the setting for this adventure. Enjoying the outdoors regardless of the weather we will explore the beauty and power of the forests, fjords and fells, meadows and mountains. The Nordic Indian summer sets a scene of clear air and beautiful autumn colours.
We visit the magnificent archipelago along Norway’s southern coast or the Hardangerfjord. In traditional Norwegian clinker-built wooden boats, we set course for a deserted island, where we will pitch our tents for the night. We explore the island and end the day with a bonfire and the sound of waves against the shore.

Hiking in the mountains
Maps and compass lead us the way to the peak as we hike up the mountains, enjoying the views of lonely lakes of piercing blue we pass along the way.
On the west coast we will visit Folgefonna; the third largest glacier on mainland Norway and the heart of the national park. On our adventure into the valley, we will see the striking rockfall from a distance and explore the dramatic changes imposed on the landscape by natural forces throughout time.

Primitive adventures in nature
During our travels we make good use of the Norwegian “right to roam” and spend the night in tents and cook our meals on an open fire or trangia. Some nights we may get a solid roof over our heads and enjoy hot water in the shower, but this is primarily an outdoor experience through and through! You will be rewarded with memorable experiences as well as new skills on how to safely navigate the Norwegian wilderness.
We cannot wait to introduce you to the unique landscapes of Norway as well as the cultural differences and similarities between Danes and our neighbours to the north.
Best Norway moment? This will sound weird but honestly; arriving at a camp after sleeping outside in the tents for two days, and finding a shoe drying machine there. Getting back into dry clothes never felt better!

One of the highlights from my trip to Norway was staying overnight at a deserted island – it was awesome!

As an introverted person, being surrounded by people almost all the time can be challanging. I really wanted to participate in everything, stay energetic and not miss out on anything. Sometimes its really hard to balance these things out.
