Ceramics

Do you want to work with slabs, throw on the wheel, coil, pinch, cast, and model?

In the elective subject ceramics, you will be taught the necessary craft techniques, and we will explore clay as a form of artistic expression. We alternate between open-ended and structured assignments, creating both functional ware and sculptural pieces.

In our ceramics classes, we combine classic techniques with new, alternative approaches to creating sculptures and functional objects. We work primarily with stoneware, which allows us to experiment with both stoneware and Raku glazes.

If you have a creative drive and a desire to learn a craft, ceramics is the course for you.
