If you enjoy an active lifestyle this Corsica trip is for you. Expect plenty of physical challenges; hiking, mountain climbing, canyoning, and relaxing sessions of nature therapy, good food and drink, group singing and socializing, stretching, and massage.

The small French island in the Mediterranean offers impressive mountains and a subtropical climate, which invites us to explore the island from sea to sky. The azure sea, golden beaches, and the views from high above are to be enjoyed. Be prepared for exciting physical challenges; we will hike the GR20, climb Corsica’s highest mountain Monte Cinto at 2700 meters above sea level, jump off 10-meter high cliffs, explore canyoning, and traverse the cliffs via ferrata (“iron road”) wearing climbing harnesses.

If we haven’t completely scared you off, there will of course be plenty of time to absorb the history and culture in the towns of the island. Corsica stands out both as the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte and as one of the main centers of the French Foreign Legion, and you will experience traditional folk dancing and the local specialties of Corsican cuisine.

We will get around the island in rented cars and sleep in hostels, mountain refuges, and perhaps a couple of times in tents at a campsite with kitchen, toilet, and shower facilities. We will prepare meals together.

The trip requires physical fitness, and you must be prepared to use your body to fully experience the island’s treasures. The tour includes 3-4 hiking days with mountainous elevation gains, one day of ferrata activities, and a day focused on trail running or lightweight hiking with small backpacks to the mountain summit. Additional physically demanding activities include a full day of canyoning in wetsuits and a bit of local dancing. Physical activity is essential for us on this trip, but we will of course also nourish our bodies with relaxing sessions featuring nature therapy, good food and drink, group singing and socializing, sleep, stretching, and massage.
