Political philosophy

In Political philosophy, each lesson introduces a new thinker; typically, a philosopher on creating society or establishing a state. Starting with the ancient Greeks and moving forward in time we will follow the development in what is thought about creating a state and existing in a community as a human being.

Along the way, we will learn about social structures and living conditions in a historical perspective. We will also deal with sociological perspectives on the concept of freedom and justice as a fundamental part of the construction of society.

The teaching may consist of presentations on a theory, a topic or a contemporary period. We will also read short texts, listen to a podcast, watch a film clip or be challenged with small exercises and cases.

This subject is taught in English.
