Sculpting
A sculpture is more than just an artistic figure of marble, clay or plaster placed on a plinth. In this subject we will expand and explore the field of sculpting and challenge the traditional conception of suitable materials.
We will experiment with different approaches to materials and shapes – and dissect both the physical and immaterial concept of sculpting.
Through hands-on-exercises, we will work with both the craftmanship of design as well as the conceptual idea, planning and execution – resulting in projects ranging from classical sculptures as well as new more experimenting sculptures in the area between media installation and architecture.
We work in small groups as well as individually.
This subject is taught in Danish. However, relevant translation will be provided for international students.
