Music

Music is a main subject with great challenges for students wishing to become better musicians or better singers. Music is organised for the experienced students and for those who are new within music. We aim at a sky-high level of activity where everyone is involved 100%. In Music class we are going to give concerts on tours and café evenings, record in the recording studio of the school, rehearse the teamwork in different bands, write our own songs etc. We will work with vocal and rhythmical training, music theory and listen to many genres of music to broaden our musical horizon.

Music is mainly taught in Danish, but due to the form of the activities and teaching, it is no real problem to participate for English speaking students.

Main subjects are primarily taught in Danish. However, relevant English translation will be provided for international students.

Existential and Elective Subjects

At Silkeborg Højskole, we offer a wide range of subjects. The list of elective and existential subjects is dynamic, and new subjects are added to the menu each semester. Elective and Existential Subjects are chosen upon arrival, with a 1st–3rd priority system. We always aim to fulfill as many first priorities as possible.
